What are we doing about website accessibility generally?

To help us make the this website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for this website.

How are we doing?

We're working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, both in design and in the content that will be uploaded to the website during the lifetime of the project.

We are currently unaware of any areas of non compliance to this AA standard on this site, and we have checked the site against multiple tests, browsers and device sizes.

We review our sites on a regular basis, and update software as new accessibility tools become available which may be required to help with certain functionality.

3rd Party Survey, Mapping and Engagement Tools

The site will also link to 3rd party tools for online video meetings, interactive exhibitions, mapping tools or other software that may not offer the same level of accessibility design.  Each software has its own accessibility statement and offers different ways to engage,

Again, if you have any difficulties with these tools, or you are looking for alternative ways to understand and engage with proposals, we ask that you contact us to let us know how we can help. We endeavour to help you engage in the best way we can.

Let us know what you think

We also realise that there may always be some areas that still need improving for visitors on this site, so in all cases please get in touch to let our team know how we can help you engage with our website and the project at large.

If you enjoyed using this website, or if you had trouble with any part of it, please get in touch. We'd like to hear from you in any of the following ways:
