Welcome to the Kingsbury and Market Square Public Realm Project

October 23, 2020

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to the Kingsbury and Market Square public realm project website.

Who we are and why we’re here

We’re here to keep you informed and involved in the design process for the renewal of these two key historic spaces at the heart of Aylesbury from first ideas - through to work starting on site. Our aim is to create a vibrant and attractive public realm that works for everyone to support business, leisure, environmental and social benefits. The design team is led by public realm architects, Untitled Practice working on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council. Please get in touch if you have any queries.

What we have done so far

This website was launched in August alongside a flyer drop and social media messaging asking people to get involved with a first stage of engagement for businesses, residents and other town centre users via questionnaires to help us to understand: how and why people visit Kingsbury and Market Square, what they value, what doesn’t work so well, what is lacking - and ideas for future improvements.

We received a lot of responses – find out more in our news post on the survey results.

This first stage engagement is now closed but there will be further opportunities to get involved. We hope you will.

Get Involved

Please register and subscribe to the news letter at the bottom of the page to receive further updates about project progress and ways in which you can get involved.
